In 1989 while in
University, I was introduced to
Aikido,
a unique Japanese Martial art. Fast forward 20 years later,
am still practicing and teaching at
Quinte Aikikai,
a club I founded in Belleville, Ontario, as well as at
Kanata Aikikai
in Ottawa.
In 2008, I had the privilege to
visit Japan
along with my long time friends
Yumi Nakamura
and
Jim Barnes,
practice at
Hombu Dojo
and visit Japan's Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and historic
landmarks.
